During this special birthday episode of MITM, we're celebrating with retired U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue specialist Brian Holmquist (Director of Operations, Holmquist Hazelnut Orchards) while unearthing the details behind his century-long family legacy.

He said, "In the 1980s, my brothers and I were old enough to run the dairy. My dad expanded out from our farm and got into more nuts. So our five-acre patch at that time, there was a transition, but we expanded out to 80 acres. And then, somewhere right towards the end of the '80s or the early '90s, my dad actually started at Pike Place Market and a local market in Bellingham. Right now, I'm managing 24 farmers' markets every week!"
