She told us, "I had a friend whose father passed away, and she approached me and asked if I could make her a Teddy bear out of his Pendleton wool shirt. In my family, a Pendleton wool shirt is a big deal. So cutting into it was like, oh, no. We don't do that! And she's like, no, this would mean so much to me. It took me a while to even cut into it because it seemed sacred and special to honor her dad. When I gave it to her, we both cried; it was really nice. And I discovered I loved working with wool!"
