Cordwainer Leanne Corcoran, owner & operator of Leolo Shoes, said, "They didn't have machines 100 years ago like I have now, but I have a big machine in my studio called a Grinder, and that thing can destroy a shoe in two seconds. It is the very last step you do in making a shoe is to grind the soul. And so if you are not present with that process, the shoe will be ruined. The shoe that you just spent 40 hours making will be ruined."
